The official rates
Every licensed Barcelona taxi charges with the taximeter. The 2026 AMB rates are:

On top of the meter there are a few official supplements: €4.60 when the trip starts or ends at the airport or at the Moll Adossat cruise terminals, and €4.60 for a vehicle carrying 5–8 passengers. Time stopped in traffic is charged at €27.75 per hour. Luggage, card payment and a receipt are free.
Trips from the airport have a minimum fare of €21, all extras included. Between the airport and the Moll Adossat cruise terminals there is an official final price of €46.

Taxi rank or pre-booked taxi?
At both terminals there is an official taxi rank outside arrivals, and you pay exactly the same meter rates there. Booking ahead is useful when you arrive late at night, travel with children or a lot of luggage, need a 7- or 8-seat vehicle, or simply want your driver waiting for you with your name at the exit. With us you still pay the official meter fare — there is no booking fee.
Tips to avoid surprises
- Only take licensed taxis: black and yellow, with the green light and a visible licence number.
- The meter must be switched on at the start of the ride.
- Ask for a printed receipt — it is free and shows the fare.
- Tolls on optional motorways or tunnels (such as Vallvidrera) are added to the fare.
